Summerfest

Join Norman NEXT for our 2nd Annual Norman NEXT Summerfest Event at Lake Thunderbird on June 4 from 11am–3pm!

Presenting sponsor is Fowler Automotive. Tournament sponsors are Armstrong Bank, VisitNorman, & the Norman Economic Development Coalition.

This is a FREE family community event and ALL are welcome!

We will have the following activities for all to enjoy!

All Day:
+ Kids Tent with water balloon toss, bubble station, and relay races
+ Music
+ Pie-in-the-face booth to benefit local nonprofits
+ Car show with new & classic vehicles
+ Free hot dogs & cookies (while supplies last)
+ Food for purchase at The Dump Truck and Calypso Cove
+ Be entered to win raffle prizes with every purchase made at one of our local shops or breweries:

Cornhole Tournament: Sign up at activity tent from 11-12. Tournament begins at 12:15! Winner will be awarded a Summerfest branded tabletop cornhole set!


Hot Dog Eating Contest: Sign up at activity tent from 11-12. Contest begins at 12! Ages 18+ only. Winner will be awarded a plaque & cash prize!


Boat Rides: Sign up at the activity tent & meet at dock 10 minutes before your time slot. Life jackets required & provided for ages 13 & under. Last call for boat rides is 2:45.


Free Paddleboat & Canoe Rentals: Sign up in Calypso Cove. Last call for rentals is 2:45.


Pie-in-the-Face Booth: Pie a friend in the face AND raise money for a local nonprofit! Pay $5 per pie or $10 for 3 pies, select a nonprofit (Center for Children & Families, Inc. or Bridges of Norman), and pick a friend to be pied…Pay $20 to get out of being pied in the face!

Car Show: Stroll lakeside & view new + class cars, sponsored by Fowler Automotive. Car show winner will be awarded a Norman NEXT plaque!

Go green! Bring your own reusable water bottle to help us reduce our footprint and keep our lake clean! Water stations will be onsite and reusable water bottles will also be for sale.
