WHAT WE DO
Community Activism
Volunteer days at local nonprofits, fundraisers, and connections between members and organizations that need help. Our team has raised thousands of dollars for Norman nonprofits since 2011.
Leadership
Board and committee seats, mentorship pairings, and introductions to people already doing the work. Members also get information on applying for City of Norman Boards & Commissions.
Government Relations
A place to follow and weigh in on public policy that affects Norman. The goal is to educate our members and give them a seat in the conversation.
Special Events
Bi-monthly NEXT Hours with food and drinks at different locations around town, plus other networking and lunch events. These are low-pressure ways to meet people outside of work who care about our community.
MENTORSHIP
Current members can apply to be paired with a mentor who shares experience, answers questions, and supports professional growth. Meetings happen at least once a month and can be coffee, lunch, job shadowing, or an introduction to a board, nonprofit, or organization. You can request a mentor in your industry or outside it.

WHO WE ARE
Norman NEXT is for young professionals ages 21 to 40 who live, work, or are invested in Norman. We connect members and give them real ways to get involved in the city through networking events, volunteer projects, mentorship, and work with local organizations.
The group started as a Chamber of Commerce program in 2007 and became its own 501(c)(6) organization in 2023. Members who have gone through the program now run businesses, serve on boards, and hold leadership roles across Norman.
The Norman NEXT board is made up of members who live and work in Norman, including educators and small business owners. They handle events, sponsorships, community relations and more, while keeping the organization running day to day.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is $100 a year, or $50 if you’re a student. It gets you into the four teams, NEXT Hours and other events, the mentorship program, and the member directory.
It’s a straightforward way to meet other young professionals in Norman and get involved.
NEXT LEVEL
NEXT Level is for people over 40 who want to stay connected to Norman NEXT. It’s a $150 annual way to support the group and stay involved without the full membership requirements.
You get access to limited NEXT Level events, three Knowledge at Noon sessions a year, priority for mentoring, the member directory, and the monthly newsletter. No meetings are required. Past board chairs and members can also be considered for Ex-Officio roles.
